Location: London (3 days per week on‑site)
Contract Length: 6 months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong Financial Services background, ideally with payments domain experience, to support a large‑scale transformation programme.

This role requires an experienced, confident and articulate consultant to lead the Product Pillar, working under the guidance of the Engagement Lead / Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of product activities at Value Stream (enterprise) level
• Support Sub‑Value Streams, ensuring roles and responsibilities are aligned to the product operating model
• Drive engagement with SVS transformation teams (client and aligned capability teams), owning and managing adoption plans
• Work closely with SVS teams to provide guidance, ensure alignment to blueprint, identify deviations and escalate via design forums
• Advise on product ways of working, with a focus on discovery, product design and tooling (personas, journeys, etc.)
• Define and manage product strategy and roadmapping across workstreams and large programmes
• Ensure alignment to VSO product principles and standards, maintaining industry best practice
• Act as a Product SME, providing thought leadership across the programme
• Support the communication and branding of the Product CoE, engaging senior leadership alongside the VSO Engagement Lead

Skills and Experience Required

• Strong Financial Services experience (essential)
• Payments domain experience (highly desirable)
• Proven experience in Product Transformation and Product Operating Model design and delivery
• Strong knowledge of Agile and product‑led organisations
• Experience operating within large‑scale, enterprise transformation programmes
