The TXP AcademyHire talent that grows as you do.
TXP Academy gives service-led organisations a practical route to build future engineering capability: recruit new talent, train them around live operational requirements, deploy them safely into the field and retain the strongest performers as long-term capacity.
The challenge facing service organisations
Service-led organisations are under pressure to deliver more work, across more locations, with a workforce that is becoming harder to recruit, train and retain. The challenge is creating a sustainable engineering workforce that can scale with demand without compromising service quality, customer experience or cost control.
Experienced engineers are retiring faster than they can be replaced
Competition for skilled engineers continues to increase salary pressures
Demand fluctuates, making permanent hiring difficult to forecast
Subcontractor models can introduce inconsistency in quality and customer experience
Traditional apprenticeships are often too slow to meet current business requirements
Large deployment programmes can create sudden demand for engineering capacity
Is your engineering workforce ready for the next five years?
Whether you’re planning a major rollout, replacing an ageing workforce or building future service capacity, TXP can help you create a dedicated engineering pipeline aligned to your business. The model can be used for short-term programme capacity, long-term workforce replacement or a structured route to permanent engineer conversion.
Why organisations choose the TXP Academy
Lower fixed workforce costs
Scale engineering capacity around confirmed demand, project peaks and regional coverage requirements, without carrying unnecessary fixed headcount.
Commercial & workforce flexibility
Flex engineering capacity around confirmed demand, rather than carrying the full cost and long-term obligation of permanent headcount before the work is fully established. This is particularly useful where demand is seasonal, regional, project-led or still being proven, helping reduce recruitment risk, onboarding cost and early attrition.
Lower-risk route to permanent workforce growth
Engineers can be trained, deployed and assessed in live environments before any longer-term employment decision is made. As UK employment law moves towards stronger worker protections, the Academy model gives organisations a more flexible way to protect service capacity while controlling fixed labour costs and long-term workforce commitments.
Faster ramp-up
Mobilise trained engineer cohorts in line with agreed programme dates, product requirements and deployment locations. Using training shaped around real products, service processes and customer environments helps engineers become productive sooner.
Better workforce planning
Create a structured engineering pipeline that reduces reliance on experienced-hire recruitment, while giving you clear visibility of each engineer’s progression, performance and readiness throughout the Academy pathway.
Consistent quality
Standardise training, behaviours and compliance so every engineer is aligned to your standards, processes and customer expectations before they are deployed into live work.
One accountable partner
TXP manages the full Academy journey, from attracting and assessing candidates through to training, deployment, performance management and ongoing workforce support. This ensure engineers are supported until they are ready to transfer into your permanent workforce.
Long-term workforce resilience
Create a sustainable route into engineering careers by identifying, training and developing new talent before skills gaps become critical. The Academy provides organisations with a repeatable way to build future capability, protect service continuity and support long-term workforce renewal.
Building a sustainable engineering workforce with Hotpoint and Beko
Facing an ageing engineering workforce and increasing customer demand, Beko needed a more sustainable approach than traditional recruitment alone.
Through the TXP Hotpoint Academy, we have created a scalable workforce pipeline that combines attraction, technical training, deployment and ongoing engineer management.
The result is a repeatable engineering capability that continues to support long-term service delivery requirements.
How we work with you
Every Academy programme is tailored to your organisation.
We work with you to define:
- Required engineer profile
- Technical skill requirements
- Training pathways
- Deployment locations
- Cohort sizes
- Service expectations
- Workforce conversion strategy
The result is a dedicated engineering workforce built specifically around your business requirements.
How the Academy WorksTech talent, custom-A complete workforce solution, not just recruitment for your business.
The TXP Academy creates a dedicated workforce pipeline tailored to your business.
Attract & Screen
We use bespoke screening methods developed and refined over the last five years to identify the next generation of field service engineering talent. This goes beyond technical experience alone. We assess aptitude, behaviours, learning potential, customer mindset and practical problem-solving ability.
Onboard & Vet
We manage employment, compliance, right-to-work verification, health and safety and onboarding, creating a clear and professional experience from day one. New academy engineers receive practical information about the training centre, onboarding materials and a welcome pack, alongside content such as day-in-the-life videos from existing engineers so they understand the role, the environment and the opportunity before training begins.
Technical Training
Candidates complete structured technical training through a dedicated training centre, with learning pathways designed around your products, technologies, service processes and customer standards. This is supported by structured on-the-job training, where engineers build confidence through practical exposure, field shadowing and supervised live work before moving into full deployment.
Field Shadowing
Engineers gain practical experience alongside experienced mentors in live customer environments, giving them the opportunity to apply their training in real service situations while still being supported. This stage helps build confidence, reinforce technical knowledge and develop the customer-facing behaviours needed in the field.
Deploy, measure and transfer
Engineers are deployed into live work with ongoing performance management, governance and support from TXP. We retain ownership for the management of those engineers throughout the full Academy journey, from onboarding and training through to field deployment, performance tracking and readiness for transfer. Where appropriate, proven engineers can then move across to the end client as long-term permanent capability.
The Academy is built around measurable operating outcomes: faster mobilisation, lower recruitment dependency, consistent service quality, controlled workforce cost and a repeatable route to permanent engineering capability.
